BBC's Silent Witness Stars Visit The Hurlingham Academy

Today, students from The Hurlingham Academy enjoyed the chance to meet stars from the BBC’s critically acclaimed, award-winning series Silent Witness to learn about careers in media.

Celebrated actors Emilia Fox and Colin Salmon from the long-running series visited the Fulham school to share the secrets of their success, knowledge of the industry and advice about how to get into careers in media.

The Hurlingham Academy students performed Macbeth to a spell-bound audience over two nights, Thursday and Friday 28 February and 1st March 2019.  The performance started in the darkened school courtyard with witches chanting "Fair is foul and foul is fair" to a watchful audience.

Year 7s achieve 2nd and 3rd place at Borough Athletics Competition
Year 7 students arrived at Hammersmith Academy on Monday afternoon confident of achieving something special. The girls track relay started the proceedings and students Ashley, Nubia, Anais, and Bailey won the first race with relative ease. The boys did not disappoint and won their heat without really breaking a sweat.

The Hurlingham Academy student rowers compete against Row New York

On Saturday the Hurlingham Academy students and Fulham Reach Boat Club performed exceptionally well in an online competition against Row New York.  Row New York managed to take the win in the girls category and Fulham Reach won the boys event.  Year 11 student Tyler finished joint first for 500m.  Student rowers from Year 9 - 11 have been training weekly with the support of Fulham Reach Boat Club. During November juniors from Fulham and Row New York began submitting their best 500m scores for their chance to win the overall title and some branded kit.
