Every year Principal Leon Wilson hosts a Christmas Tea Dance at the Hurlingham Academy.  It's an afternoon the entire school community looks forward to as it is a way of showing our appreciation to our local senior citizens.

Student rowers close to breaking British 100m sprint records

Students in The Hurlingham Academy rowing club are very close to breaking the British 100m sprint records according to Ms Meghann Jackson, Schools’ Manager at Fulham Reach Boat Club, a charity who support the club.  Ms Jackson is a holder of two world records for distances on the erg (ergometer or erg = a device used to measure the amount of work performed).

Spectacular GCSE Results at The Hurlingham Academy

Students and staff at The Hurlingham Academy are celebrating another year of spectacular GCSE success at the school.  84% of students achieved five or more 9-4/A*-C grades including English and maths, under this year's new GCSE grading structure.  This is double the number who achieved the equivalent measure in 2014, just before the school joined United Learning and became an academy.

 

Students develop their skills through drama at Easter residential

Year 10 students from The Hurlingham Academy took part in an exciting, week-long residential last week where they developed their confidence and key skills through a range of lectures, workshops and enrichment activities.
