THA Tea Dance for Senior Citizens

Every year Principal Leon Wilson hosts a Christmas Tea Dance at the Hurlingham Academy. It’s an afternoon the entire school community looks forward to as it is a way of showing our appreciation to our local senior citizens.   This year staff spent the morning setting tables and decorating the Main Hall with tinsel and lights to create a festive atmosphere for the holiday celebrations with approximately 40 residents from our community.   Year 7 students were on hand to help serve hot drinks and distribute mince pies and Mr Wilson, resplendent in a Santa Claus suit, enjoyed banter with residents before he started calling BINGO.  The school’s choir provided entertainment with seasonal carols.
