Welcome to The Hurlingham Academy

I hope this website will give you a sense of what makes us an Outstanding school (Ofsted 2024). I am incredibly proud to be the Principal at The Hurlingham Academy; a place where students thrive academically and socially in an atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance and diversity. 

Our academic approach is for every student in every lesson to enjoy learning.  We strive to ensure that our teaching standards are high, and children feel safe and supported in school. Lessons follow a knowledge-rich and rigorous curriculum. This learning environment has produced our best GCSE results ever.

The Hurlingham Academy is a close-knit school community that learns together, has fun together and continues on a journey towards all-around excellence.

One of the standout moments of the Easter term has been the well‑deserved recognition of our students’ work at the Jack Petchey Awards Ceremony. The Achievement Award is given to those who step outside their comfort zone to reach a personal goal. Bringing culinary inspiration to the next generation, @prept.foundation visited The Hurlingham Academy last week. Led by one of their own chefs, our hospitality students got a behind-the-scenes look at what life is like in a professional kitchen. Pupils took part in a hands-on session, learning how to prepare meats and create balanced meals. With visits to the Sagrada Familia and Parc de la Ciutadella, our Spanish students experienced the cultural landmarks that define Barcelona. Motorsports has often been described as a male dominated industry. So when our Year 9 girls had the chance to attend the 'Race for Diversity' careers event, they jumped at the opportunity! Our students got to experience life in the pitlane, learn about potential career paths & test out indoor electric karts for themselves.
