Welcome from the Principal

We hope this website will give you a taste of what is new and different about our school. When you visit The Hurlingham Academy you will see for yourself a thriving, on-the-up school on the doorstep of communities in Fulham, Parsons Green and Sands End.

Since joining United Learning in January 2015, we have made some significant changes. With the direction of Dame Sally Coates, we have finessed our academic approach so that every student in every lesson enjoys learning. We have recruited a new team of senior staff who have all come here because we share the opportunity to make this school a special one at the heart of SW6. Our results speak for themselves: we have now seen three consecutive years of significant improvement at GCSE, with progress and attainment scores considerably above the national average. And we are starting a new Sixth Form to expand our offer to young people locally.

Unobtrusively located in the leafy, suburban streets of Parsons Green, The Hurlingham Academy is a close-knit school community that has fun together, learns together and is beginning a new chapter in its life as a school.

The best way to see what our school can do
for your child is to come and visit.

We look forward to meeting you all.

Leon Wilson
Principal

Weekly Newsletter 14.9.18

As I tell the students in my first assembly every year, I spend most of my summer holiday looking forward to September. Standing at the gate on the first day as I greet our smiling students and staff is an absolute pleasure every year.  I am immensely proud of the success of our Year 11 students in their GCSE results. The outcomes of their motivation and hard work throughout their time at school serves as a chance to take pride in academic achievements. However, this year I find myself considering the outcomes of an education that are harder to measure.
