The Hurlingham Academy student rowers compete against Row New York

On Saturday the Hurlingham Academy students and Fulham Reach Boat Club performed exceptionally well in an online competition against Row New York.  Row New York managed to take the win in the girls category and Fulham Reach won the boys event.  Year 11 student Tyler finished joint first for 500m.  Student rowers from Year 9 - 11 have been training weekly with the support of Fulham Reach Boat Club. During November juniors from Fulham and Row New York began submitting their best 500m scores for their chance to win the overall title and some branded kit.

Steve O'Connor, CEO of the Fulham Reach Boat Club who organises rowing sessions in school with Ross Cheetham (Head of Year 10 and PE teacher) said of the Hurlingham Academy rowers, "The students were impeccably behaved at this week's events and gave 100% effort when asked.  We couldn't hope for more."
