Joining Us in Year 7

We are delighted that you have chosen to join The Hurlingham Academy in September 2020.

The Hurlingham Academy has a thorough and comprehensive transition programme for all children moving up from primary school.  We recognise that starting secondary school can be very exciting but also a little daunting for many students (and families!).  Our staff work closely with primary schools to ensure students’ transition from Year 6 into Year 7 is as smooth and stress-free as possible.

The school web site has a wealth of important and useful information for current parents and students so please take time to review it.

This page has information relevant to you and your child starting in Year 7.

In light of school closures due to Covid-19, we are currently reviewing our transition programme.

As it is unlikely we will be able to host Inset Day at the academy, we are putting together a virtual transition programme which will be as thorough, inclusive and supportive as possible.  As soon as we have a confirmed programme, we will communicate the details to you and primary schools.

Rest assured we are thinking of our new Year 7 students and families during these extraordinary times.

If you have any questions or concerns, or if we can assist you in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact our Admissions Officer Mrs Debbie Dorrington at
