Learning beyond the classroom

Learning beyond the classroom is a fantastic opportunity for students to boost their knowledge and skills beyond what they learn at school, and the involvement of parents and carers in their child’s education is paramount.

All students benefit so much from carrying out further research beyond the classroom, on key concepts they learn at school - using the links above will enable parents and carers to support students in doing this – it is through carrying out extra research that students develop further knowledge and skills in how to learn independently which are crucial for success at GCSE and beyond, and it is important that they start building these from Key Stage 3.

Parents and carers can also support their child by regularly discussing what they are learning at school and their progress in their subjects.
