“Our academies are a seven year journey”

Sixth Form Pathways

At The Hurlingham Academy, we are proud to work closely with our fellow London cluster schools within United Learning, to offer a range of excellent opportunities for our students at A-Level & BTEC. Through our long-standing partnerships with The Elms Academy and Ernest Bevin Academy, students make a smooth and successful transition from Year 11 into Sixth Form study.

Both schools share our commitment to high expectations, strong pastoral support and ambitious outcomes that students have experienced throughout their time at The Hurlingham Academy. Whether pursuing university, an apprenticeship or employment, students are supported to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to take their next steps successfully.

The Elms Academy

As one of our longest-standing partner schools, The Elms Academy offers a thriving and high-achieving Sixth Form where many Hurlingham alumni have continued to excel. Over the past five years, the Sixth Form has secured ten Oxbridge offers, including Bohdan from the Class of 2026, who is now studying Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford.

Academic success is at the heart of the Sixth Form, with 57% of A-Level and BTEC grades awarded at the equivalent of A*-A. Alongside outstanding results, students benefit from dedicated study facilities. This includes a recently refurbished student area dedicated to help foster independence, resilience and the study habits needed for university.

Ernest Bevin Academy

One of the fastest-growing Sixth Forms in South London, Ernest Bevin Academy has quickly established a reputation for academic excellence and student progression. In 2026, the school achieved the highest growth in A-Level grades across United Learning, reflecting its commitment to ambitious outcomes for every student.

The Sixth Form is particularly renowned for its strong STEM provision and its focus on preparing students for life beyond education. A key strength of the school is its extensive network of industry partners and alumni, which provides students with valuable real-world experiences. Through weekly talks and lectures from industry professionals, students gain a deeper understanding of different career pathways while developing the confidence and skills needed for future success.

Ibstock Place Scholarship

In addition to our Sixth Form partnerships, The Hurlingham Academy is proud to collaborate with Ibstock Place School, offering two pupils each year the opportunity to secure a fully funded scholarship.

This unique programme provides access to outstanding academic facilities and enrichment opportunities. Ibstock Place consistently achieves excellent results, with 25% of total A-Level outcomes in 2026 graded at an A*. Our students are encouraged to complete the application process with Ms Mackay who liaises directly with the Ibstock Place admissions team.
