Welcome to The Friends of The Hurlingham

The Friends of The Hurlingham is our own PTA, aimed at helping to develop relationships within the school's community & support fundraising objectives that benefit our pupils educational experience. 2025-2026 is an exciting year for the PTA after we were founded in October. So far we we've raised £480 for the Jamaican Red Cross  & are looking forward to our first annual Summer Fair!

Joining our PTA is a great way to meet new families, build stronger connections with the parents of your child's friends & uncover new ways to support our pupils. To register your interest in joining the Friends of The Hurlingham, click the link to join our discussion group below:

What's Coming Up for Friends of The Hurlingham?

There are regular Friends of Hurlingham meetings for staff & parents to attend. This is the best way to get involved and contribute to make your child's experience at The Hurlingham Academy the best it can be. Look out for details of the next meetings in the weekly newsletter.

Our first annual Summer Fayre will take place on the 16th July 2026. With food, games,  entertainment and stalls, there will be something for everyone! Tickets will be going on sale soon.

Donations for the Summer Fayre
Our upcoming Summer Fayre is a chance for us to fundraise towards creating a beautiful garden and to increase the outside space for our students to enjoy and relax in. This is so important for our student's wellbeing to support their mental health, focus and resilience through an increased connection to nature. As well as promoting academic achievement as the garden would serve as a living classroom, enriching subjects including science, geography, art, and food technology through hands-on learning about biodiversity, sustainability, and nutrition. It would also promote environmental stewardship by enabling students to grow food, compost waste, and understand climate action in practical ways.

We are looking for donations, can you help us out with any of the following:
  • Second hand books
  • Bric-a-brac
  • Sealed bottles (toiletries, soft drinks, table sauces or condiments, bottles of wine, nice bubble bath etc. ) for a tombola
  • Any items that could be used as a prize! e.g. luxury biscuits, fancy chocolates, scented candles'

Friends of The Hurlingham Bake Sale

Thank you to everyone who supported our bake sale, your generous contributions and sweet tooths helped to raise £480 for our Jamaican first aid appeal!

We had a whole range of tasty home baked cakes and pastries donated by our students, parents and staff, thank you to everyone who bought items and for all the star bakers who supported us. Thank you also to Gails, Marks and Spencer and Krispy Kreme who generously donated some delicious baked goods for us to sell.

Support our students with the Amazon Wishlist!

We’re excited to share our school Amazon Wish List, created to help provide extra resources and opportunities for our students. Every item donated big or small makes a real difference to classroom learning, enrichment activities, and student wellbeing.

If you find something you would like to purchase from our Amazon Wish List, just add it to your basket and follow the same procedures as if you were ordering something for yourself. The items will then be delivered directly to the school. Please make sure you select the school address in the delivery section.
